Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time special education teaching position is available in a high school setting serving grades 9-12. This contract role begins on August 6th and continues through the normal school year. The position involves working in a resource classroom with a caseload of 15-20 students requiring specialized instruction and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to the needs of high school students in a resource classroom setting.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, counselors, and support staff.
- Maintain accurate records in pliance with state and federal regulations.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences and team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification.
- Experience teaching high school students (grades 9-12).
- Ability to manage a caseload of 15-20 students.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Effective munication and collaboration abilities.
