Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support a diverse caseload in a school setting located in Pinson, AL. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 23, 2026, and involves working directly with students to provide critical speech and language services within a learning center environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of approximately 49 students, including a high-needs group primarily in 5th grade and below, along with some high school students.
- Deliver individualized speech-language assessments, interventions, and progress monitoring.
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to create and implement effective therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and standards.
- Provide direct therapy services onsite, with flexibility for hybrid or virtual options if feasible.
Qualifications:
- Valid Alabama Speech-Language Pathology license (AL SLP).
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP - CCC) preferred.
- Experience working in a school setting, particularly with high-needs student populations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to adapt therapy methods to meet varying student needs.
Schedule:
- Part-time, 4 days per week.
- Hours: 7:30 AM 2:00 PM.
- Onsite work required, with some flexibility for hybrid or virtual arrangements.
