Diesel Technician / Mechanic
Compensation: DOE

Fitzgerald Peterbilt currently employs over 150 employees . Our locations include Huntsville, Birmingham, Montgomery, Gadsden in Alabama and Bristol and Fancy Gap in Virginia.

Job Responsibilities:
· Diagnose and repair on heavy duty trucks, heavy haul trucks, car carriers, fire engines, and roll off trucks.
· Adequately explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers on an as-required basis.
· Continuously learn new technical information and techniques in training
· Assist fellow technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
· Maintain an organized and neat bay.
· Adhere to all company policy, procedure, safety and environmental rules.
Qualifications:· A High School Diploma or GED
· Diesel Certification
· Engine building experience
· Must have own tools
· Must have a valid driver's license
· Pre-employment drug test/physical/ background check
· CDL preferred
Previous experience is a requirement
