Front Desk Receptionist/ CMA

JPL Family Medicine is Seeking:
A highly organized and customer service-oriented individual to join our front office team. As a Front Office Receptionist, you will be the first point of contact for patients ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for everyone. You will play a vital role in scheduling, insurance verification, referrals, payment collection, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced, professional medical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments and manage the office’s daily calendar, ensuring efficient patient flow and minimal wait times.

• Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information prior to visits and resolve any discrepancies.

• Referral Management: Process and track patient referrals to specialists or other facilities as needed.

• Patient Check-In/Check-Out: Greet patients, collect necessary documentation, and ensure patient information is accurately entered into the system.

• Payment Collection: Collect copays and outstanding balances, provide receipts, and maintain accurate financial records.

• Medical Records Management: Ensure patient records are updated and maintained in compliance with privacy regulations.

• Customer Service: Provide excellent service to patients over the phone and in person, addressing inquiries and providing information regarding services, billing, and insurance coverage.

• Communication: Collaborate with medical staff and patients to facilitate smooth operations.

• General Administrative Tasks: Manage incoming calls, maintain office supplies, and perform other administrative duties as needed to ensure the office runs efficiently.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous experience in a medical office. Strong customer service experience will also be considered.

• Skills:

  • Highly organized with attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy environment

  • Proficiency with medical office software and EHR systems Advanced MD is a plus

• Personality: Must be friendly, compassionate, and professional with a commitment to providing excellent service to patients.
