Logistics Supervisor - Off Shift Country/Region: US Location: Tuscaloosa, AL, US Req ID 83244 | Tuscaloosa, United States ZF Chassis Systems Tuscaloosa, LLC **Job Description** **About the Team:** Reporting directly to the Logistics Manager, the Supply Chain Supervisor plays a pivotal role in driving operational excellence on the production floor. This position leads and motivates production teams of up to 15 direct reports, ensuring that every process aligns with company standards and customer expectations for safety, quality, delivery, and cost-efficiency. From overseeing daily workflows to ensuring team members are well-trained and effectively scheduled, the Supervisor keeps operations running smoothly and on target. They also manage key HR functions-conducting performance evaluations, recommending compensation adjustments, and implementing corrective actions when needed-all to foster a high-performing, accountable team culture. **What you can look forward to as a Logistics Supervisor:** + Maintain and improve production performance processes through waste reduction, problem-solving and continuous improvement activity. + Supervise and train production employees for growth and development by ensuring employees are qualified and trained to the proper procedures, policies & standards in assigned position. + Represents the team by reviewing and relaying important information, make necessary inquiries to expedite projects in areas (such as manpower, process changes/problems, etc.), manage and assist team/department to achieve goals and process information (productivity, scrap, accident reduction, etc.). + Facilitate team meetings (communication, safety, quality, etc.) using problem-solving techniques, maintain minutes, and follow-up on action plans to direct production operations and department to comply with all company, division, and customer quality requirements. + Promote efficient production methods by assuring work instructions, standards, and all required documentation are in place as well as initiate and direct procedures to increase company quality and output. + Analyze operations, oversee new job assignments, analyze machine/equipment malfunctions and make necessary adjustments where needed, and report results of the shift in a specific and complete manner (e.g. time and reporting employee hours, machine malfunctions, etc.) to promote shift to shift communication. **Your Profile as a Logistics Supervisor:** + Bachelor's degree and 4-5+ years related supply chain experience. + Proven leadership ability, strong people skills (coaching, mentoring, motivation, communication, problem resolution). + Understanding of Lean principles and responsibilities. + Understanding of the application, tracking, utilization, and purpose of KPI's. + Availability and flexibility in schedule (e.g. weekends) to meet customer requirements. + **Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.** **Why you should choose ZF Foxconn in Tuscaloosa:** + Annual Incentive Plan + Paid Time Off + 401k Plan + Health Care Benefits + Paid Holidays + A supportive collaborative team environment + A strong diversity culture + Supportive Employee Groups and community outreach activities **Additional Information** ZF does not offer visa sponsorship for this role (e.g., H-1B, TN), and candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without requiring sponsorship by ZF now or in the future.
