Software Team Lead

OASYS, INC ., a Leading-Edge Government contractor in Huntsville Alabama, is seeking a Software Team Lead to support our ARMY/MDA customer onsite at Redstone Arsenal, Huntsville, AL.

Job Responsibilities include: Lead a team of software developers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.

• Use C++ and Java to design, develop, test, and maintain robust and scalable software applications.
• Lead development of Gitlab CI/CD pipeline and workflow capabilities
• Maintain and enhance existing software, ensuring optimal performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables
• Perform code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, from requirement gathering to deployment and maintenance

Minimum Requirements:

• Capability to lead a medium size team of s/w developers, and willing to share knowledge and mentor others.
• Significant experience in C++ and Java
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns
• 10+ years of experience
• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Cyber, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline: however, 4 years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
• Active Secret Clearance
• Proficiency with development tools and environments, including version control systems such as Gitlab
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels

Required Education: Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering, Cyber, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or other STEM discipline however, years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

Eligibility: Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance. An Active Secret Clearance is highly desired.
