Your Role and Responsibilities

• Starting comprehensive assessments for patients, ordering necessary diagnostic procedures, and developing tailored care plans
• Diagnosing and managing acute, chronic, or episodic health conditions, either independently or in collaboration with other healthcare providers
• Guiding patients and families through prevention, wellness, and disease management strategies
• Administering prescriptions and therapies within your practice's guidelines
• Engaging in follow-up care and chronic disease management
• Working in partnership with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate cohesive and comprehensive care
• Accurately documenting patient interactions within electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications and Education

• Completion of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher, such as a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Successful graduation from a recognized Nurse Practitioner educational program

Mandatory Certifications

• Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Alabama
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a relevant specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to secure these within 90 days)
