📍 Location: Tuscaloosa, Alabama
Shift: Nights | 36 or 48 hours/week
Schedule: Every other weekend & holidays as needed
Contract Length: 13 Weeks

About This Assignment:

This opportunity places you in a Trauma Surgical Unit that provides expert-level care to patients with acute trauma, surgical needs, orthopedics, and urology . You’ll work with a collaborative, interdisciplinary team that values communication, compassion, and clinical excellence.

• Unit Size: Mid-size Trauma Med-Surg/Tele

• Patient Ratio: 1:6

• Team Style: Interdisciplinary, with family practice physicians, hospitalists, trauma surgeons, ortho/urology specialists, and YOU!

• Patient Types: Trauma, post-op ortho, urology, and general medical-surgical cases

✅ What You’ll Need:

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (or higher)

• 💳 Certifications:

  • BLS (AHA or Red Cross accepted)

• 🏷 Licensure:

  • Active RN license in Alabama or Compact State

  • Verified in NURSYS

  • Temporary licenses are not accepted

• Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years RN experience

  • Will consider 18+ months with 1 year in a med-surg/tele specialty

• Deliver patient-centered care in a dynamic trauma-focused setting

• Monitor post-op patients recovering from surgical interventions

• Collaborate with a full range of specialists

• Float to other units or hospitals when needed

• Maintain top-tier documentation and clinical excellence

• Solid Navy Blue Scrubs
