Sign-On Bonus: Up to $7,500 (Based on Experience)Competitive Hourly Rate (Commensurate with Experience) Job Summary:McSweeney Chevrolet GMC/CDJR in Clanton, Alabama, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified General Motors Technician to join our team full-time. This position is responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on GMC and Chevrolet vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and customer satisfaction. Compensation & Benefits:We offer competitive hourly compensation based on experience and certification level, along with a comprehensive benefits package, which includes: * Medical, dental, and vision insurance * Paid time off (PTO) * Retirement savings plans * Ongoing training and professional development opportunities * Sign-on bonus of up to $7,500 (amount determined by experience and qualifications) Key Responsibilities: * Conduct diagnostic tests to identify mechanical and electrical issues. * Perform repairs and maintenance services in compliance with GMC and Chevrolet manufacturer specifications. * Utilize specialized tools and equipment to complete repairs accurately and efficiently. * Document all repair and maintenance activities in compliance with dealership and manufacturer requirements. * Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding vehicle conditions and recommended repairs. * Maintain strict adherence to all safety protocols and shop guidelines. * Stay current with new technologies and participate in required training and certification programs. * Keep work areas clean, organized, and in compliance with dealership standards. Qualifications: * Current certification as a GMC/Chevrolet Technician (General Motors Certified Technician preferred). * Minimum 2 years of experience in a dealership or automotive repair shop environment. * Proficient in diagnostic and repair techniques, with experience using manufacturer-specific tools and equipment. * Strong knowledge of GMC and Chevrolet vehicle systems and emerging technologies. * Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. * Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills. * Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
