Must be a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) via NMTCB or hold Nuclear Medicine certification ARRT(N) and have a minimium of 1+ years Nuclear Medicine experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Join a leading healthcare team in Ozark, AL, as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist specializing in cardiac imaging. This 13-week travel assignment offers an opportunity to use your expertise with advanced nuclear medicine technology while supporting vital diagnostic services. Early shift start times require prompt isotope handling, quality control, and patient procedure preparation to deliver accurate cardiac assessments using Cedars Sinai software and DualHead CorCams.
Responsibilities:
- Administer nuclear isotopes for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes following radiologist directives and protocols
- Perform cardiac imaging procedures including Cardiolites, isolated Mugas, and Amyloid studies
- Conduct daily floods and quality control on imaging equipment to ensure accuracy and safety
- Regulate and maintain nuclear medicine scanners and related tools
- Develop, print, and organize films and digital images for patient records and diagnostic review
- Provide timely diagnostic services to inpatients and outpatients with attention to detail and patient care
Qualifications:
- Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) credential required
- At least 1 year of nuclear medicine experience with proven cardiac imaging skills
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Familiarity with Cedars Sinai software highly preferred
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program and state licensure as a general radiographer or nuclear medicine technologist
- Ability to start promptly and manage varied patient schedules efficiently
Schedule:
- Primarily 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. shifts, with some variability depending on patient needs
- Procedures typically begin at 7:30 a.m., requiring early arrival to receive isotopes and perform QC
