Step into a rewarding contract opportunity serving schools in the Birmingham, Alabama area from August 7th through June 10th. Work on-site (no virtual roles available) and join a collaborative educational environment focused on providing valuable support to students with diverse needs.

Your assignment and caseload will be determined based on current needs and specific school locations, allowing you to gain a broad range of experience working with pediatric and adolescent populations. Bring your expertise to help students succeed both academically and personally.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Valid Professional Educator Certification is required.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders from a regionally accredited institution.
• Strong knowledge of laws, regulations, and policies related to special education and programs for children with disabilities.
• In-depth understanding of pediatric and adolescent cognitive and physical development.
• Familiarity with medical and psychological diagnostic tools used for assessing students with disabilities.
• Solid ability to compile/analyze data and interpret relevant laws and policies.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• ASHA Certification and ABSESPA Licensure are highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized support plans for students.
• Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to meet student needs.
• Conduct assessments and document progress using data-driven results.
• Stay current on best practices and compliance regulations across programs.
