Step onto the floor, power up a Mazak or Okuma lathe, verify your offsets, and load a program you trust. A few hours later, you’re dialing in a Haas or Okuma 5-axis VMC to hit a tight tolerance, checking features with precision gauges, and documenting results that prove the quality of your work. What You’ll Do
- Set up and run CNC mills and lathes to produce components to specification.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to plan your approach.
- Perform in-process and final inspections to confirm parts meet required tolerances.
- Troubleshoot and maintain CNC equipment for reliable, repeatable performance.
- Accurately document production steps and maintain traceable records.
- Work safely, keep a clean station, and collaborate with teammates to deliver on schedule.
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; machining certificate/technical degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on CNC machining experience with mills and lathes.
- Solid understanding of CNC programming concepts and G-code.
- Proficiency with precision measuring tools and gauges.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and blueprints.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and team communication.
