Job Title: Construction SuperintendentJob Description
The Construction Superintendent will be responsible for overseeing the building layout and surveying for foundations, building components, and walls. This role involves site layout and surveying from control points provided by a surveyor, establishing and maintaining control (grade) on a site from an established benchmark, and proficiently operating site equipment such as backhoes, mini excavators, skid steers, site dump trucks, and track hoes. The position requires self-performing all tasks associated with concrete work, including foundations, slabs, paving, walls, formwork, reinforcing steel, and tilt-up. Additionally, the superintendent will handle miscellaneous metals work like pipe bollards and single line hand railings, rough carpentry tasks including wood blocking, backing, and nailers, and installation of doors, frames, hardware, and Division 10 specialty items.
Responsibilities
+ Lead and manage the on-site construction team.
+ Coordinate and oversee all work on site.
+ Attend production meetings.
+ Review and become familiar with the schedule and budget, ensuring adherence.
+ Ensure quality standards are met.
+ Place orders for materials and manage equipment and materials on site.
+ Follow the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met.
+ Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness.
+ Maintain records for site personnel such as daily field reports, field orders, and RFIs.
+ Liaise with inspection authorities regarding approvals.
+ Coordinate with office project manager and adhere to project schedules.
Essential Skills
+ Minimum of 5 years of superintendent experience.
+ Proficient in surveying, with the ability to take drawings and layout buildings.
+ Concrete and carpentry self-performing experience.
+ Experience as a Concrete or Carpentry Foreman leading a crew.
+ Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents.
+ Proficient at communicating with owners, clients, design professionals, and project managers.
+ Ability to lift 40 pounds and operate heavy equipment.
+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Outstanding organizational skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor's or Associate's degree.
+ OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
+ Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

The work environment includes construction sites located throughout North Alabama, with workers returning home every night, ensuring no overnight travel is required. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $110000.00/hr.
