Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
- Experience working with students with diverse learning needs, IEPs, and behavioral plans
- Strong communication skills for interacting with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt to various teaching methods and maintain a positive classroom atmosphere
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and update individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
- Deliver instruction in small groups or individualized settings, utilizing creative and adaptable teaching strategies
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and support staff to ensure full inclusion and support of students
- Regularly communicate progress and strategies with parents and caregivers
- Foster a supportive, structured, and purpose-driven classroom culture
- Accurately document student progress, behavior reports, and IEP goal attainment
