PLANT MANAGER – AUTOMOTIVE
SALARY UP TO $215,000 + Bonus + Benefits + Paid Relocation to Southern USA
Are you a dynamic and experienced manufacturing leader with a passion for driving operational excellence and fostering employee talent? We are seeking an exceptional Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing business. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring customer satisfaction, optimizing plant operations, nurturing employee growth, and achieving long-term financial success.
As Plant Manager, you will be instrumental in shaping our future. You will plan, organize, direct, and continuously improve all aspects of the manufacturing business. This role is key to implementing strategic initiatives that meet customer demands, achieve financial objectives, and ensure sustainable growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide robust leadership and strategic direction to the entire manufacturing facility.
- Cultivate a culture of teamwork and cooperation, ensuring all employees are aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Plant Quality System strategy, driving integrity and continuous improvement across all functions.
- Contribute to the development of the Company's global operations strategy and translate it into a facility-specific plan that exceeds targets for cost, quality, delivery, customer service, safety, employee morale, manufacturing technology, and profitability.
- Support the development and successful implementation of the Company Production System (SPS).
- Meet stringent financial objectives, including income, balance sheet, cash flow, capital management, and value creation.
- Formulate and execute the manufacturing strategy, encompassing capital and process renewal/replacement, cost reduction initiatives, and the timely introduction of new product applications/processes within budget and to customer satisfaction.
- Ensure an effective and comprehensive communication program that fosters positive employee relations and maintains an accessible "open door" policy.
- Evaluate, coach, and develop direct reports through performance management to maximize their contribution.
- Develop and implement a robust succession management plan to ensure the facility's future growth and success and ensure training goals are consistently met.
Minimum requirements for this Plant Manager’s role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Engineering
- Experience in management in an Automotive Plant with high-volume, fully automated, and automotive production technologies.
- At least 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience with increasing responsibility.
- Proven proficiency in plant-related tasks and programs, including Lean Management, Automotive Core Tools, and 5S.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with exceptional human relations and coaching skills.
- Superior organizational abilities.
- Track record of providing effective direction, evaluating progress, and developing long-term strategies.
