Inspire and support young learners as an elementary general education teacher in a dynamic school setting near Deatsville, AL. This contract opportunity spans the full academic year, beginning mid-August and running through late May, offering the chance to build strong bonds with students and positively impact their educational journey.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Elementary General Education Certification for K-6 from Alabama (check certification status at the state portal)
- Demonstrated skills and experience in a general education teaching setting
- Ability to establish a positive, inclusive, and productive classroom environment
- Strong communication and rapport-building skills with students, parents, and colleagues
- Comfort with integrating technology into lesson planning and classroom management
Core Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain a learning environment that encourages growth and enthusiasm for education
- Build and sustain effective relationships with students to foster engagement and success
- Motivate and guide students in developing foundational academic and life skills
- Employ digital tools to enhance learning experiences and 21st-century skill development
- Collaborate with families, peers, and school visitors to promote a welcoming community
- Take on additional assignments as designated by school leadership
This is an onsite role with a weekly schedule totaling 37.5 hours, ideal for educators who thrive working directly with students and peers. Caseload details will be clarified soon, and multiple positions are available.
