Long’s Human Resource Services is seeking a Part-Time Accounting & Administrative Assistant for a client in Foley. This role supports both accounting functions and daily office operations in a small, collaborative office environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a mix of accounting, administrative, and logistics work and is comfortable working independently.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
• Process and track employee expense reports
• Maintain accurate expense documentation and organized records
• Support reporting and project-related summaries
• Work within QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Excel
• Answer incoming calls and assist with general office needs
• Maintain filing systems and office organization
• Coordinate travel arrangements, reservations, and credit card authorizations
• Assist with general office coordination and day-to-day administrative tasks
• Make occasional trips to the post office/USPS
• Coordinate LTL and expedited freight shipments
• Prepare shipping documents and schedule carrier pickups
• Track shipments and provide status updates

Qualifications:

• Previous experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting support
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Desktop and Microsoft Office, especially Excel
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
• Dependable and reliable with strong follow-through
• Comfortable assisting with both accounting and general administrative duties
• Experience with shipping coordination or freight logistics is helpful, but not required
