Job Description
We are currently seeking a Diesel Truck Technician to become an integral part of our team! You will diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul automotive, medium duty, and class 8 vehicles.
Diesel Mechanic Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair issues in diesel engines
- Diagnose and repair issues with hydraulics, brakes, transmission, steering, and other systems
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Perform welding or fabrication tasks on trailers and other equipment as necessary
- Prepare work orders and order parts
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace
Diesel Mechanic Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED certificate (preferred)
- Valid driver's license (CDL strongly preferred)
- Diesel technician or mechanic degree a plus
- Experience with small diesel engine repair
- Some welding experience required
- Mechanical skills
- Basic computer skills
- Basic math skills
