Service Manager – Automotive Dealership | Montgomery, AL

A well-established Hyundai dealership in Montgomery, AL is currently seeking an experienced, motivated Service Manager to lead and optimize the operations of its service department. This is a high-impact role responsible for ensuring excellent customer satisfaction, driving profitability, and managing a team of technicians, advisors, and support staff.

This opportunity is ideal for a professional who understands fixed ops KPIs, values process and accountability, and can lead a high-volume shop with efficiency and integrity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage daily operations of the service department to ensure workflow efficiency and customer satisfaction

• Hire, train, coach, and evaluate service staff, including advisors and technicians

• Monitor and improve department KPIs: CSI scores, RO count, labor hours, ELR, and warranty metrics

• Maintain compliance with manufacturer programs and warranty policies

• Oversee parts coordination, repair order accuracy, and timely vehicle delivery

• Resolve customer issues professionally and ensure retention and repeat business

• Partner with sales and fixed ops leadership to support overall dealership performance

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Service Manager or Assistant Manager in a dealership environment

• Hyundai or import brand experience is strongly preferred

• Deep understanding of fixed operations metrics and service processes

• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

• Proficiency with DMS software (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, or similar)

• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
