Job Title: Dam Engineer
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Dam Engineer to lead our Dams and Levees team. This role is crucial to our expanding business in the design, construction, and maintenance of dams and hydraulic structures. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ensuring the safety and functionality of dam projects, with a strong focus on structural integrity and compliance with safety standards.
Responsibilities
+ Lead the design and analysis of various dam structures, including earthfill, rockfill, concrete gravity, and arch dams.
+ Oversee construction and maintenance processes to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
+ Conduct thorough site investigations and assessments to evaluate the feasibility and safety of dam projects.
+ Prepare detailed engineering reports, designs, and technical specifications.
+ Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure successful project completion.
+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, hydrologists, and environmental scientists.
+ Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff.
+ Ensure adherence to environmental and safety regulations throughout all project phases.
+ Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential dam failures or issues.
+ Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
+ Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to enhance professional knowledge.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
+ Professional Engineer (PE) license.
+ Minimum of 10 years of experience in dam engineering or a related field.
+ Proficiency in engineering software such as AutoCAD, HEC-RAS, and GIS.
+ Strong skills in civil design, dam and levee analysis, hydraulic structures, and structural analysis.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with hydraulic system design and safety analysis.
+ Familiarity with civil 3D and GIS analysis.
+ Ability to lead and mentor a team effectively.

The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $160000.00/yr.
