APL Shift Manager NOES

ATSS has a client in Calvert, AL looking for a APL Shift Manager.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The ideal candidate will participate as a member of the Project Team as the leader of the facility maintenance team. This candidate will join a project team launching the 600,000 square foot facility, recruit and hire the facilities maintenance team, participate in commissioning the plant and lead the facilities team as the business ramps up.

The Basics

• An engineering degree (mechanical, electrical, chemical) is preferred – equivalent experience in the facilities field will be considered in lieu of degree

• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and assist maintenance with problem solving
• Experience with maintaining boiler systems, air compressor systems, switch gear systems, water treatment plants, and acid regeneration plants
• Demonstrated basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Demonstrates strong interpersonal communications skills, written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret site blueprints and schematics

• Ability to develop scopes of work for jobs to be completed by a third party
• High aptitude for technical problem solving
• Leadership experience
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations

The Extras

• Knowledge of GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) preferred

• Experience managing and coordinating contractors to ensure timely completion of jobs
• Experience with project and process documentation

• Knowledge of safety regulations a plus

• Familiarity with SAP

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Developing the maintenance systems (procedures) for the facility and supporting utility infrastructure of a new finishing steel mill

• Lead maintenance technicians to perform planned repairs
• Time Administrator duties for assigned team members/contractors
• Ensure work order reporting is accurate

• Assist in coordinating the necessary resources for implementing process/service improvements, problem resolutions, or project completion
• Provides specialty support to plant or staff departments and divisions by using knowledge and skills to resolve issues within the framework of the specific function

• Office and Industrial setting
• Gulf coast region in Calvert, AL
• Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours and overtime as required due to periods of peak workloads and outages
