SandBlaster Operator – train on 1st shift – switch to 2nd Shift | Temp-to-Hire
Decatur, AL

$19.00 train on 1st shift -$20.00 - 2nd shift per hour

Monday–Friday | 5:00 AM – 1:30 PM train then switch to 1:30 PM-10:00 PM

Position Summary
Operates a variety of machine shop equipment such as saws, lathes, drill presses, sand blasters, and a free-standing spot-welder to produce sub-assemblies or completed finished goods.

️ Key Responsibilities

• Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers and use simple math to perform basic calculations.
• Must be able to read tape measures, calipers and micrometers to perform inspection of parts.
• Must be able to operate a variety of machines to perform the following tasks turning, drilling, tapping, de-burring, sawing, spot welding and sandblasting.
• Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions.
• Update computer records and paperwork in accordance with production requirements.
• Maintains work area and equipment in clean orderly condition, performs preventative maintenance and follows prescribed safety procedures.
• Ability to work with chemicals, solvents, adhesives, and lubricants.
• Must have a working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Six (6) months of related factory experience
