Comfort Suites is looking for a dependable, customer-focused Night Auditor to join our team in Huntsville, AL. If you enjoy working independently, providing excellent guest service, and ensuring hotel operations run smoothly overnight, we would love to hear from you.

As a Night Auditor, you will serve as the face of the hotel during the overnight shift while completing nightly accounting tasks and ensuring guests receive exceptional service from check-in to check-out.

What You'll DoGuest Service

• Welcome guests with friendly, professional service during late-night check-ins and early-morning check-outs.
• Respond promptly to guest questions, requests, and concerns.
• Process reservations, room assignments, and payments accurately.
• Handle guest requests and follow up to ensure satisfaction.
• Provide a positive and welcoming experience for all guests.

Night Audit & Accounting

• Complete the nightly audit process and balance daily hotel transactions.
• Reconcile guest accounts, room charges, payments, and other financial records.
• Prepare daily reports, cashier reports, and required audit paperwork.
• Process cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
• Post room charges, taxes, and additional fees.
• Identify and correct billing discrepancies while maintaining accurate records.

Hotel Operations

• Monitor hotel safety and security during overnight hours.
• Maintain accurate room inventory and reservation information.
• Assist with emergency procedures and overnight guest needs.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby area.
• Secure hotel equipment, keys, supplies, and Lost & Found items.
• Communicate with other departments and management regarding guest concerns or operational needs.
• Follow company policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Complete additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous hotel front desk, customer service, or Night Audit experience preferred but not required.
• Experience using Property Management Systems (PMS) is a plus.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Basic math, cash handling, and accounting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to operate computers, phones, printers, and other office equipment.

Schedule

• Full-time position
• Overnight shift
• Weekend and holiday availability required
