Home2 Suites Athens, located in Athens, AL, is looking for a Part-Time Hotel Maintenance Worker to help keep our property running smoothly and provide a safe, comfortable experience for our guests. What You'll Be Doing

As a Part-Time Maintenance Worker, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the hotel is clean, functional, and well-maintained. Your responsibilities will include:

• Performing routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel and guest rooms.
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff.
• Repairing or replacing plumbing fixtures, light fixtures, switches, outlets, and other building components.
• Conducting minor drywall, painting, carpentry, and general repair work.
• Inspecting guest rooms, hallways, public areas, and equipment for maintenance issues.
• Assisting with preventative maintenance of hotel equipment and systems.
• Keeping tools, supplies, and maintenance areas organized.
• Reporting major repairs, safety hazards, or equipment issues to management.
• Assisting with emergency maintenance situations when needed.
• Following all hotel safety procedures and workplace regulations.
• Maintaining a professional and courteous attitude when interacting with guests and staff.

What We're Looking For

To thrive in this role, you should have:

• 1 year of experience in maintenance, hotel, apartment, building, or handyman work.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• The ability to troubleshoot problems and determine when professional assistance is needed.
• Proficiency in using common hand and power tools safely.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• The physical ability to lift, carry, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and perform maintenance tasks.
• Willingness to work a flexible part-time schedule, including weekends or holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications :
- Previous hotel maintenance experience.
- Certifications or trade training in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, or building maintenance.
- Availability to respond to after-hours emergencies when scheduled.
