We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Medical Assistant to join our expanding Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Facial Cosmetic Surgery, and Medspa practice. We are seeking a positive, energetic, organized, and self-motivated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care while supporting both our Medspa and surgical teams. Primary Responsibilities

Provide exceptional clinical and administrative support to providers within the Medspa while assisting the Oral Surgery department with instrument sterilization, surgical tray preparation, and maintaining a safe, organized clinical environment. Responsible for ensuring treatment rooms are prepared, supplies are stocked, instruments are properly processed, and patients receive outstanding care throughout their visit.

Personal Requirements

Education / Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
  • Current Medical Assistant certification preferred.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a medical, surgical, dermatology, plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, or Medspa setting preferred.
  • Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and infection control principles.
  • Ability to learn oral surgery instrumentation and tray setup.
  • CPR certification required or ability to obtain within the required timeframe.
  • Computer proficiency; experience with electronic medical records and practice management software preferred.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.

Hours

Full-Time, 36–40 hours per week.

SPECIFIC DUTIES

Medspa Clinical Responsibilities

  • Prepare treatment rooms before and after each patient.
  • Assist providers during aesthetic consultations and procedures as requested.
  • Obtain and document patient medical history and vital signs when appropriate.
  • Prepare patients for treatments and ensure comfort throughout their visit.
  • Educate patients regarding pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions.
  • Maintain treatment room cleanliness and organization.
  • Stock treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management of medical supplies and skincare products.
  • Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained according to manufacturer recommendations.
  • Document patient information accurately within the electronic medical record.

Sterilization & Surgical Support

  • Clean, package, sterilize, and store surgical instruments using approved sterilization techniques.
  • Assemble and organize oral surgery procedure trays according to established protocols.
  • Maintain sterilization logs, biological monitoring records, and equipment maintenance documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, CDC, infection control, and office sterilization protocols.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sterilization area.
  • Prepare instruments and supplies for daily surgical procedures.
  • Maintain surgical handpieces and coordinate repairs as necessary.
  • Ensure adequate inventory of sterile instruments and supplies.
  • Assist with turnover and preparation of procedure rooms as needed.

Inventory & Equipment Management

  • Monitor inventory levels of clinical supplies, instruments, and disposables.
  • Notify management when supplies require replenishment.
  • Assist with receiving, organizing, and stocking deliveries.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout treatment and storage areas.
  • Assist with monthly inventory counts when requested.

Patient Care & Customer Service

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to every patient.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Answer patient questions professionally and direct clinical questions to the appropriate provider.
  • Ensure patients feel comfortable, informed, and well cared for throughout their visit.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude.

Office Participation

  • Assist other departments when operational needs require.
  • Participate actively in team meetings and continuing education.
  • Promote teamwork and collaboration throughout the practice.
  • Support practice initiatives, policies, and quality improvement efforts.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by providers or management.

Interpersonal

  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Maintain effective working relationships with patients, providers, and coworkers.
  • Exercise professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment in all interactions.
  • Contribute to a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
