The Customer Service Representative serves as a key contributor to the sales organization, responsible for delivering high-quality, responsive support throughout the entire quote-to-order lifecycle. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and consistency in customer interactions while supporting revenue growth across assigned accounts, including Distributors, OEMs, Engineering Firms, and End Users.

The position requires a strong understanding of Rulmeca Douglas products, effective cross-functional coordination, and a commitment to operational excellence. This role is instrumental in reinforcing the company’s reputation for reliability, technical expertise, and superior customer service within the conveyor components industry.

Core Responsibilities

Customer & Sales Support

· Serve as a primary point of contact for customers, delivering professional and timely communication

· Prepare and manage quotations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with pricing strategy

· Convert quotes to orders and process all required documentation to ensure on-time execution

· Proactively follow up on open quotations to drive conversion and revenue growth

Account Development

· Drive growth and development of customer accounts within the assigned territory through proactive engagement, relationship management, and consistent follow-up

· Strengthen partnerships across internal teams and external customers to enhance service delivery, improve retention, and support revenue expansion within the assigned territory

Product & Technical Knowledge

· Develop and maintain working knowledge of Rulmeca Douglas product lines and applications

· Support customers with product selection and application-based inquiries

Operational Excellence

· Utilize ERP and business systems to manage orders, quotes, and customer data

· Ensure accuracy and consistency across all transactions and communications

· Support continuous improvement initiatives within customer service processes

· Maintain a positive, team-oriented mindset

· Participate in ongoing training and development programs

· Support additional duties and cross-functional initiatives as needed

Qualifications

· Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with a customer-first mindset

· Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality customer service in a fast-paced, professional environment

· Proven ability to meet or exceed performance expectations related to response time, quote turnaround, and customer satisfaction

· Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining responsiveness and attention to detail

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)

· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

· Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment

Education & Experience

· High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred

· 3–5+ years of experience in customer service, inside sales, or industrial sales support preferred

· Experience in manufacturing or conveyor systems is a plus

Work Environment

This position is primarily based in a professional office setting, with the majority of responsibilities performed at a workstation using standard office equipment. Interaction with manufacturing or shop areas is minimal and typically limited to occasional visits as needed. The work environment is generally quiet to moderate in noise level and structured to support focused, administrative, and customer-facing tasks.

· Ability to remain seated for extended periods while working at a computer workstation

· Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, data entry, and general office tasks

· Visual ability to view computer screens for extended periods, including close vision and focus adjustment
