Spur Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate General Instructional aide to join our team working in Huntsville City Schools for the school year 2025/2026. As a General Instructional Aide, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and students in the classroom. Your main responsibility will be to assist with the implementation of instructional activities, provide one-on-one assistance to students, and ensure a positive and engaging learning environment. You will work closely with the teaching staff to reinforce lesson content, manage classroom logistics, and contribute to the overall educational experience. In this role you will be work in different areas of the school depending on the need.

Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers in implementing instructional plans and activities.
• Provide one-on-one support to students with their learning tasks and assignments.
• Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers.
• Reinforce lesson content by working with small groups or individual students.
• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
• Assist in the preparation and organization of instructional materials.
• Supervise students during transitions, recess, or other non-instructional activities.
• Collaborate with teachers and other instructional aides to optimize student learning.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance and behavior as required.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a clear State of Alabama Background check
• Previous experience working with students in an educational setting is an asset.
• Passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting student success.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, staff, and students.
• Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
• Must be able to lift up to 65lbs.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic classroom environment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Compensation

• Pay $15.00 p/hr
• Job Hours: 7:30am - 3:30pm (Vary Between Elementary/Middle/High School)
