NDT Technician
Challenge Testing is looking for qualified NDT Technicians preferably with experience in Aerospace or Physical Lab. Requirements include but may not be limited to:
- Must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and willing to maintain up-to-date competency relevant to the position.
- Must be familiar with or willing to familiarize themselves with the codes, standards and other contractual documents that control the method as utilized by the employer.
- Work with minimal supervision
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Obtain and analyze information skillfully
- Edit and present numerical data effectively
- Able to set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
- Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
- Organize and report test results
- Perform specialized inspections
- Willingness to provide mentoring and on-the-job-training (OJT) for NDT certification of other Inspectors
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements
- Eddy Current Certification or Radiologic Certification preferred
- 2+ Years total NDT experience preferred. This may include experience in RT, UT, UTSW, UTPA, MT, or PT
- Aerospace and/or Physical Lab experience preferred
- NDT Level II Certification required
- NAS 410 Certification Required
- Technical background in NDT methods, procedures, and standards
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of
inspections
- Knowledge of NDT equipment
- Must have a valid drivers license
- High School graduate or equivalent required.
- Willing to submit to drug and alcohol screenings
- Willing to submit to a background check
