Work Hours

Monday–Friday, 11:00pm–7:00am

What Will You Be Doing?

• Setting up and running welding equipment by following prescribed methods and procedures to achieve tight tolerances and meet standards.
• Building weldments using manual layout and manual surface preparation as needed.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, welding symbols, travelers, and work instructions to plan and execute work.
• Positioning parts using fixtures and other holding/positioning devices for accurate assembly and weld access.
• Verifying dimensions with precision measuring instruments and gauges.
• Jumping into problem-solving activities to remove barriers and improve flow.
• Mentoring and training Associate Welder, Welder I, and Welder II colleagues.
• Fitting, purging, and producing complete joint penetration (CJP) welds.
• Troubleshooting welding equipment, materials, and fixturing to correct issues.
• Performing visual welding inspections to confirm quality.
• Interpreting and applying AWS standards and welding symbols throughout your work.
• Producing all assigned product lines within your designated area.
• Supporting the Senior Welder in reviewing all standard work to drive consistency and improvement.

What You Need to BringRequired

• High School Diploma or GED
• 3–5 years of welding experience
• 2 years in a solid metal fabrication or machining setting
• Demonstrated manual TIG (GTAW) skill on stainless, mild steel, and aluminum
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments and gauges

Preferred

• Exposure to flux core, MIG, stick, and carbon steel
• GTAW (TIG) certification

Plus

• Strong math and troubleshooting skills and basic computer proficiency
• Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and all standard welding symbols
