The selected candidate will collaborate with executive leadership, program managers, chief engineers, technical staff, business development, and functional organizations across the Leidos enterprise to provide: + Effective and efficient execution of new and existing programs supporting a broad range of Department of Defense customers and contractors. + Leadership in growing a talented engineering team and mentoring junior engineers into strong technical contributors and future organizational leaders. + Technical direction for maintaining and expanding software and firmware codebases for radar and electronic warfare sensor systems, including real-time system architectures and signal processing algorithms. + Cultivation of existing customer relationships and development of new relationships to grow and strengthen our customer base. **Basic Qualifications** + Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred) with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of relevant experience. + Demonstrated experience working within a team to develop and integrate radar and/or electronic warfare sensor technology. + Strong technical background in enabling technologies for RF and EW sensors, including real-time software, high-speed networking and/or storage technologies, and radar signal processing algorithms. + Strong knowledge of C++ and object-oriented design principles. + Solid software engineering background with experience defining and enforcing engineering best practices (configuration management, coding standards, code reviews, testability, and design for reusability). + Ability to identify business development opportunities and support proposal activities. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Must be a U.S. citizen and possess an active Secret clearance. + Must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville-North Alabama region. **Preferred Qualifications** + Radar Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and a Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering. + Familiarity with MATLAB and CUDA. + Familiarity with VHDL (preferred but not required). + Experience in recruiting and interviewing technical staff.
