Welder Fitter
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Welder Fitter for a company based in Jemison, AL. The ideal candidate is a welder that can read blue prints to cut, position, align, and join metal parts by welding them into a finished product, ensuring structural soundness and adherence to safety standards and technical specifications.

Pay Rate
$16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Depending on Experience

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Thursday, 6:00am-4:30pm

Friday 6:00am-2:30pm

Welder Fitter- Duties and Responsibilities

• Fabrication: Lay out, position, align, and secure metal components for assembly.
• Welding: Apply appropriate welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG) to join metal parts into a finished product.
• Inspection: Inspect completed welds to determine structural soundness and quality.
• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and understand blueprints, schematics, and work orders to plan and execute tasks accurately.
• Material Preparation: Clean and prepare weld joints and workpieces using tools like grinders, brushes, or scrapers.
• Equipment Operation: Set up and operate manual and semi-automatic welding equipment.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all workplace safety regulations, standards, and practices, and report potential hazards.
• Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot issues and use expertise to eliminate scrap, rework, or downtime.

Welder Fitter- Qualifications and Requirements

• Welding Techniques: Proficiency in various welding processes (e.g., MIG, TIG) and the ability to work with different metals like steel and aluminum.
• Technical Drawing: Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications.
• Math Skills: Basic math skills including fractions, decimals, algebra, and geometry.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail and precision to ensure the integrity of the finished product.
• Physical Dexterity: Strong physical dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to stand for long periods, lift heavy objects, and work in various physical positions.
• Communication: Good communication skills to follow instructions and work effectively with a team.

Full-time: Temporary to Hire
