Position Overview

Excellence Property Care Solutions Inc. is urgently seeking an experienced and dependable General Handyman / Maintenance Technician to join our team as a 1099 Independent Contractor in the Birmingham, AL 35208 area.

This position is ideal for self-motivated professionals who enjoy working independently, solving problems, and performing a variety of repair and maintenance tasks. Contractors should be able to service locations within a 50-mile radius of Birmingham .

We offer flexible scheduling, a steady volume of work, and excellent earning potential ranging from $2,000 to $3,000 per week , depending on workload and completed projects.

Candidates with a General Contractor License , trade certifications, or extensive field experience will receive priority consideration.

Key ResponsibilitiesGeneral Maintenance & Repairs

• Perform plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, door and window repairs, fixture installation, appliance replacement, and general property maintenance.

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

• Inspect maintenance issues, identify the root cause, and recommend effective repair solutions.

Work Order Completion

• Complete assigned work orders efficiently while maintaining company quality standards and meeting deadlines.

Quality Workmanship

• Deliver professional, detail-oriented repairs that exceed customer expectations.

Safety Compliance

• Follow all job site safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Customer Service

• Communicate professionally with residents, property managers, and clients throughout each service call.

Tools & Transportation

• Maintain your own professional-grade tools and reliable transportation to travel throughout the service area.

Insurance

• Carry general liability insurance (assistance is available if needed).

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a General Handyman, Maintenance Technician, or in a related trade.
• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general home repairs.
• Ability to diagnose problems and perform quality repairs efficiently.
• Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle.
• Ability to service locations within a 50-mile radius of Birmingham, AL.
• Ownership of professional tools required to complete assigned work orders.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• General Contractor License or trade certifications are preferred but not required.
