Reports To: Warehouse Manager

Description

The Assistant Warehouse Manager is responsible for assisting the warehouse manager in all daily functions to ensure the timely and accurate loading of delivery trucks while maintaining a safe and efficient warehouse facility.

Duties & Responsibilities

* Lead and motivate all warehouse personnel through daily development and coaching.

* Ensure every Delivery Driver is checked-in immediately upon his return to the warehouse; this includes the counting of all returned product, empties, pallets, and carts.

* Ensure all warehouse employees abide by company policies and procedures.

* Ability to lead forklift and pallet jack certification classes.

* Rotate product within the warehouse to make sure the oldest product is loaded for delivery first.

* Supervise all functions of Location Based Inventory and Voice Picking programs.

* Ensure warehouse, grounds and keg/pallet yards are kept clean.

* Must be able to work flexible shifts to accommodate peak times and seasonal selling periods.

* Adapt to any new responsibilities required by the Warehouse Manager.

Qualifications

* Self-starter with the ability to manage others efficiently and effectively

* Excellent written and verbal communications skills

* Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills

* Ability to work cohesively across multiple departments

* Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office

* 1-2 years of management experience
