Vice President of Business Operations
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A Master's degree (MBA or equivalent) or CPA certification is highly preferred
- Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role, demonstrating a strong understanding of financial principles and practices
- Demonstrable experience overseeing information technology functions, including strategic planning, infrastructure management, and system implementations
- Demonstrable advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including expertise in pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, HLOOKUPs, INDEX/MATCH, conditional formatting, data validation, and financial modeling
- Extensive and proven experience with government contracting accounting, including a deep understanding of DCAA audit requirements, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), indirect rate structures, and cost-plus contract accounting
- Proven experience in managing all aspects of the accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and financial reporting
- Strong understanding of financial consolidation systems, Onestream
- Demonstrated success in streamlining accounting processes, implementing financial controls, and improving efficiency within the accounting function
- Strong understanding of accounting software and ERP system, Deltek Costpoint
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders across all levels of the organization
- Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing IT, finance and accounting teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successfully delivering complex accounting, finance, and IT-related projects (e.g., system upgrades, audit readiness, IT infrastructure improvements)
- Experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) applied to accounting functions is a plus
- A proactive and results-oriented approach with a strong focus on financial integrity, compliance, and providing actionable insights to support business growth
