Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key qualifications:

• Valid credential as a Sign Language Interpreter (SLI)
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Experience in elementary education preferred
• Ability to interpret classroom instruction and school activities

Primary responsibilities:

• Deliver one-on-one interpretation for an elementary student during school hours
• Facilitate equal access to classroom instruction, activities, and social interactions

• Assist in adapting educational materials as needed for comprehension
• Maintain professional boundaries and uphold privacy standards
• Attend any relevant school meetings regarding the student’s needs and progress
• Support the student's integration into the school community
