Faulkner University is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Human Resources Associate I. The selected individual is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our internal community as well as external contacts. The position primarily supports employee learning/ development and benefit services with some payroll assistance. The selected individual will be cross-trained to support all aspects of human resources. Faulkner University is a Christian university affiliated with the churches of Christ.
This is a full time position (40 hours per week).
Summary of Duties:
- Assist with documentation and administration requirements for various employee benefits
- Communicate insurance benefits to employees and assist with enrollments
- Process COBRA and Workers' Compensation administration requirements
- Administer leave that utilizes the Family and Medical Leave Act
- Oversee and schedule in-house trainings and maintain learning and development training records
- Maintain leave and employment anniversary records for the university
- Manage updates for department website and university directory
- Assist in organizing university events for employees; oversee employee wellness events
- Perform ongoing updates on department reports; prepare multiple reports for external entities
- Assist with student and adjunct employment processes
- Provide support in processing university payroll
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; experience in lieu of degree will be considered
- Experience within human resources preferred
- Active member of the church of Christ
