Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the safety and occupational health team.
- Assist in improving accident and illness prevention programs.
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments.
- Prepare and submit safety reports to management.
- Help with Workers’ Compensation and safety committees.
- Investigate accidents and track corrective actions.
- Participate in safety training sessions and promote safety awareness.
- Perform regular plant safety inspections.
- Assist in managing safety programs (exposure control, hazard communication, respiratory protection, hearing conservation).
- Ensure compliance with safety laws and company policies.
- Help set standards for PPE and machine guarding.
- Support ergonomics program development.
- Review and approve new or modified equipment for safety.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You’ll Need
- Education: Enrolled in a four-year university or pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in a related field.
- Minimum GPA: 2.5.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
