Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job Title: AP/AR Clerk
Location: Huntsville, AL

SUMMARY:
Noetic is currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Clerk to join our finance team. The AP/AR Clerk is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing payments, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring that all transactions are processed in a timely and efficient manner. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in AP/AR or general accounting.
Skills:

• Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (experience with Unanet preferred).
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONISIBILITES
Accounts Payable (AP):

• Process vendor invoices, match with purchase orders, and ensure proper approvals.
• Schedule and prepare payments via check, ACH, or wire transfers.
• Maintain vendor records and respond to inquiries regarding payments or discrepancies.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist in month-end closing.
• Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve payment issues.
• Add new employees to accounting system.

Accounts Receivable (AR):

• Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time.
• Apply payments received to the correct accounts and follow up on outstanding invoices.
• Perform credit checks and set up new customer accounts.
• Communicate with customers to resolve billing issues and collect overdue balances.
• Prepare aging reports and assist with cash forecasting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in a fast-paced business environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems or financial databases.
• Knowledge of GAAP and standard accounting procedures.
• Government experience is a plus.
