As a Security Professional - Unarmed Patrols in Bessemer, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will be responsible for monitoring and patrolling designated areas within a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents and foster a secure environment for employees, visitors, and assets. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to everyone on site. This position is a driving post, requiring you to navigate throughout the location to fulfill your patrol duties. What You'll Do:

• Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
• Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
• Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
• Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
• Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergencies when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the technology and media environment.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and support a secure environment.
• Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to the appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
• Assist with controlling access to designated areas, monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying identification as required by site protocols.
• Support emergency preparedness and response efforts as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations according to Allied Universal and client requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A valid driver's license is required for positions that primarily involve driving and must meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Driving experience is preferred for these positions.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
