Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A well-established medical center in East Alabama is seeking 2-3 experienced travel pharmacists for a contract opportunity. This role serves a hospital with approximately 300 beds, located in the Auburn/Opelika area. The position offers a solid 13+ week assignment with the potential for a temporary-to-hire option. The start date is flexible but ideally as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately verify and dispense inpatient medications with a strong focus on checking processes
• Support medication distribution primarily during day shifts
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure safe and effective medication use
• Utilize Cerner electronic medical record system for order entry and management
• Occasionally support sterile compounding, which is a plus but not the primary responsibility

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Current Alabama pharmacist license required
• Minimum of 6 months to 1 year inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records system preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during shifts
• Reliable and flexible with day-shift availability

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Varied day shift start times between 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
