Schedule/Hours:
- Five 8-hour shifts per week, totaling 40 hours
- Every other weekend required
- Holiday coverage as needed
Role Overview:In this dynamic travel assignment, you’ll circulate within the Cardiovascular Operating Room, providing compassionate, quality care and upholding the highest standards in perioperative nursing. You’ll play an essential leadership role, guiding and supervising LPNs, PCAs, ortho techs, and other non-licensed personnel. Flexibility is key; you must be willing to float to different units and nearby hospitals, adapting quickly to new teams and clinical environments.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional nursing care within CVOR settings
- Maintain and delegate standards of professional practice
- Supervise and mentor ancillary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Establish positive relationships with patients and families
- Support collaboration among interdisciplinary teams
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Nursing required
- Active Registered Nurse license in Alabama or Compact state (no temporary licenses)
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS or Red Cross certifications
- Minimum 18 months of nursing experience, with at least one year in CVOR (consideration given to those with two years overall)
- Willingness to float to other units or hospital locations
