Primary Objectives
The Inventory Supervisor is an important leadership role that is responsible for managing and maintaining inventory levels, leading and coordinating the day-to-day operations of inventory control, warehousing, and materials management for the Facilities Division. This includes maintaining accurate documentation, implementing standardized procedures, supervising inventory staff, and supporting purchasing activities. This position ensures the integrity and accountability of all tools, equipment, and assets under Facilities Division control while developing strategies that promote operational efficiency and fiscal responsibility. The incumbent will also provide leadership to the Inventory Specialists, ensuring proper training, compliance with safety protocols, and consistent application of inventory processes across all Facilities departments. Essential Functions
  • Supervises the Inventory Specialist and oversees daily warehouse operations.
  • Maintains a visual outlook on tools and materials coming in and out of the warehouse.
  • Enters all inventory items into the maintenance portal for asset tracking and documentation.
  • Ensures all tools and equipment are documented when issued and returned by employees.
  • Inspects and notates maintenance or safety issues with equipment requiring repair.
  • Maintains established minimum asset levels and reorder as needed.
  • Coordinates with vendors to obtain quotes, place orders, and verify deliveries.
  • Communicates with coworkers and leadership when items or supplies need replenishing.
  • Conducts regular inspections to identify maintenance, safety, or operational issues and coordinates corrective actions.
  • Signs for deliveries and verifies accuracy of goods received.
  • Delivers recyclable materials to the Environmental Protection team as needed.
  • Maintains an organized, clean, and safe warehouse environment.
  • Supports coworkers with system navigation or basic computer assistance.
  • Oversees trailer usage, maintain trailer logs, and ensure adherence to usage guidelines.
  • Ensures consistency of inventory procedures across all departments.
  • Assists Facilities leadership with purchasing approvals, documentation, and budget tracking.
  • Works closely with Asset Specialist and Finance to ensure alignment and communication regarding asset tagging, reconciliation, and disposal processes are being followed appropriately.
  • Oversees trailer usage, maintains trailer logs, and ensures proper adherence to usage guidelines.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the appropriate person.
Job Requirements
  • Associate’s Degree in Business or related field required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • One (1) year of employment experience in inventory control, purchasing, warehouse operations, compliance or asset management tracking required.
  • Two (2) years of supervisory experience in monitoring or coordinating the activities of subordinates including general supervision, performance evaluations, disciplinary procedures, leave approval, timesheets, etc. required.
  • Experience using inventory management systems, maintenance portals (such as eMaint), and asset documentation software required.
  • Two (2) years of employment experience overseeing staff, workflows, or project coordination in an operational or warehouse setting required.
  • Experience in budget tracking, vendor management, and process improvement required.
  • Must have Forklift certification or must obtain within one hundred eight (180) days of employment.
  • Must have OSHA 10 certification or must obtain within one year of employment.
  • Ability to work odd and irregular hours, as needed. Subject to 24/7 on-call assignment as deemed necessary for Tribal Government Operations.
  • Must possess a valid state driver’s license and insurable driving record according to Tribal insurance guidelines.
  • Must successfully pass the required criminal and character background check.
  • Ability to travel and participate in required training, leadership development, and other events.
  • Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities of this position adequately and successfully.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in English, spelling, punctuation, and writing composition.
  • Must have a working knowledge of computers with the ability to work in a Windows environment with various software programs such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Demonstrates the ability to assemble a high performing team that produces great results.

Compensation and Benefits
  • The starting pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.
