This contract role offers a rewarding opportunity for experienced SLPs to support students across three local schools, providing direct services to a diverse caseload of approximately 60 students. As an onsite Itinerant SLP, you'll collaborate closely with educators and families to create positive outcomes for students in special education, ensuring their communication needs are met in a nurturing academic environment.

Key Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
• Current Alabama Professional Educator SLP Certification
• Previous school-based or pediatric experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to manage an itinerant schedule across multiple locations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy to students in individual and group settings at three school sites
• Assess, diagnose, and develop customized treatment plans for a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders
• Monitor progress, adapt interventions, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with IEP requirements
• Collaborate with special education teams, teachers, and families to maximize student success
• Travel between sites (Shelby County High, Columbiana Middle, Helena Intermediate) as part of your regular schedule
