Mechanical Field Service Technician

Mechanical Field Service Engineer to handle the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of complex machinery at customer sites. This role requires 95% travel across North America , with assignments lasting up to two weeks at a time , including occasional international travel for training and support.

Responsibilities:

Install, align, and assemble new machinery, ensuring proper functionality and performance.
Lead rigging teams during installation and oversee project completion.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and process-related issues on existing equipment.
Train operators and maintenance staff on best practices for troubleshooting and maintenance.
Perform preventive maintenance, system audits, and technical service on industrial machinery.

Qualifications:

Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum of three years in a mechanical service, maintenance, or field engineering role.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, layout drawings, and pneumatic/hydraulic diagrams.
Experience with equipment installation, alignment, and disassembly using technical documentation.
Proficiency in fabricating parts and checking components for accuracy, tolerances, and alignment.
Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as basic electrical wiring and schematics.
Willingness to travel 95% of the time across the U.S. and Canada, with trips lasting up to two weeks.
