Revenue Cycle Management for Healthcare - Client Representative (KHS)

We are a Birmingham, Alabama- based healthcare management company in search of an In-office Client Representative. The RCM Client Representative for Healthcare duties may include one or more of the following: processing insurance payments, following up on denied claims, and resolving credit balances. THIS IS AN IN-OFFICE POSITION.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Processes the insurance component of a patient's obligation through claims processing and payment rules.
• Bills claims appropriately.
• Experience using Nextgen.
• Follows up on denied claims by performing appeals and denial recovery procedures.
• Works denied claim lines and no response claims to resolve outstanding accounts.
• Analyzes credit balances on patient accounts and resolves.
• Insurance verification.
• Responds to refund request letters from insurance carriers.
• Notify supervisor of any problem accounts, CPT codes being denied by specific insurance companies, continued error in charges and any other hindrance to their productivity or collection of A/R.
• Compliance is a condition of employment and is considered an element of job performance.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
• Demographic Processing.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Provide excellent customer service through phone calls and emails.
• High level of time management and organizational skills.
• End of the month report generation and list of all accounts not worked.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Associate degree (Preferred).

Experience:

• At least five years experience preferred.
• Medical background or previous insurance billing desired.
• Nextgen experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
• Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
• Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
• Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 10 -25 lbs.
