Bookkeeper / Office Assistant

Salary: $35,000 per year
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Location: 13 South Florida Street, Mobile, AL 36606
About Us
Keith Realty, Inc. is a family-owned and operated property management company that has proudly served the Mobile area for over 25 years. We manage approximately 300 single-family homes and are looking for a dependable, organized, and customer-focused Bookkeeper / Office Assistant to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys bookkeeping, working with people, and being part of a stable, locally owned business.
Responsibilities
- Enter vendor invoices into our property management software
- Process and pay vendor invoices
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records
- Prepare monthly owner statements
- Collect rent payments from tenants
- Answer incoming phone calls and provide excellent customer service
- Assist prospective tenants with rental inquiries
- Enter and track tenant maintenance requests
- Assist with the collection of past-due rent
- Provide general office and administrative support
Qualifications
- Basic bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred, but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Comfortable using computers and learning new software
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Experience with QuickBooks or property management software is a plus, but not required
