RN - CCU (Coronary Care Unit)
Location: Columbia, SC
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Position Overview:
Seeking an experienced CCU Registered Nurse to provide care for critically ill cardiac and medical intensive care patients in a high-acuity environment. Candidates must have strong cardiac critical care experience with advanced cardiac devices and complex cardiovascular patient populations.
Requirements:
- Active RN License required
- ACLS Certification required
- BLS Certification required
- NIHSS Certification required
- Recent CCU, CVICU, or Cardiopulmonary ICU experience required
Schedule:
- 3 x 12-Hour Shifts
Patient Ratio:
- 1:2

- Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
- Temporary Venous Pacemaker (TVP)
- Mechanical Ventilation
- Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT)
- Invasive Hemodynamic Monitoring
- Dysrhythmia Interpretation and Management
- Pre/Post Cardiac Catheterization Care
- Sheath Removal
- Post Cardiac Surgery Patient Care
- Cardiac and Medical ICU Experience
Patient Population:
- Coronary Care Unit Patients
- Cardiac Intensive Care Patients
- Medical Intensive Care Patients
- Step-Down Overflow Patients
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized nursing care to critically ill cardiac patients
- Monitor and manage advanced cardiac support devices
- Assess and respond to complex cardiovascular conditions
- Administer critical care medications and therapies
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adherence to quality standards
