Fiber Construction Inspector

We’re seeking a detail-oriented Fiber Construction Inspector to oversee and support field activities across Alabama. This is a remote position located in the state of Alabama with frequent travel Florence, Cullman, Decatur, Athens, Muscle Shoals, Gadsden, Auburn, Troy, and Dothan) In this role, you will ensure fiber construction vendors adhere to company standards and procedures, while maintaining accurate documentation and assisting with critical operational processes. This position plays a key role in upholding build quality and operational readiness across large-scale fiber deployment efforts.
Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and document fiber construction projects across assigned regions
• Perform warehouse tasks: inventory tracking, vendor outfitting, and cable inventory management
• Update and maintain fiber inventory data and incident reports in Microsoft CRM
• Conduct strand mapping, make-ready rides, and post-construction inspections with utilities
• Collaborate with internal teams to revise handbooks and policies based on current best practices
• Support major outages or sensitive network events with on-site supervision and resource oversight

Requirements: 3+ years of telecom construction inspection experience required . Hands-on construction experience is highly preferred . High School Diploma or equivalent required . Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Visio, etc.)

Skills Needed: Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities . Excellent written and verbal communication skills . Ability to work independently and travel frequently . Knowledge of front-end/web infrastructure a plus . High attention to detail and a proactive approach to resolving issues
