Job Title: Hotel Housekeeper
Overview: As a vital member of our hospitality team, the Hotel Housekeeper plays a crucial role in ensuring our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in guest rooms. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and tidy guest rooms according to established standards, including making beds, dusting furniture, vacuuming carpets, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Replace linens, towels, and amenities in guest rooms as needed.
- Ensure all amenities and supplies are replenished in guest rooms.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and floors.
- Empty trash containers and dispose of waste in a hygienic manner.
- Clean and maintain public areas, including corridors, lobbies, elevators, and stairways.
- Dust and polish furniture and fixtures in public areas.
- Collaborate with maintenance and front desk staff to address any maintenance or guest service issues.
- Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow established procedures for handling lost and found items.
- Assist with special cleaning projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience in housekeeping or a related field is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment is desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to provide exceptional service to guests.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
