We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing manufacturing organization. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in financial operations, with a focus on cost accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data related to production and inventory. This position offers an opportunity to work closely with operations and finance leadership to support decision-making and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes.

• Perform account reconciliations, including inventory, accruals, and cost of goods sold (COGS).

• Assist with preparation and analysis of monthly financial statements and variance reporting.

• Support cost accounting functions, including standard cost updates and production cost analysis.

• Work with operations to track and report production costs, variances, and inventory valuation.

• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes related to manufacturing operations.

• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accurate financial data for internal and external reporting.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (operations, procurement, and supply chain) to resolve accounting discrepancies.

• Support audits by providing required schedules and documentation.

• Identify and recommend process improvements to streamline accounting and reporting functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

• 3+ years of accounting experience in the manufacturing industry.

• QuickBooks and ERP accounting software, MS Excel experience

• Solid understanding of cost of goods sold (COGS), production, and cost accounting principles.

• Experience with monthly close, journal entries, and reconciliations.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

• Proficiency with ERP/accounting software; advanced Excel skills preferred.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
